    J417: Magazine Publishing is offered only in the fall semester and satisfies the 400-level course requirement for both the journalism and strategic communication tracks. We’ll meet from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Wednesdays, but you should also plan on doing significant amounts of work outside of class. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of an assigned role on the magazine (see descriptions below), each student will produce one feature-length story (about 1,500-2,000 words), an alternative story form, a multimedia piece and social media engagement content to promote their work.
